Hi, I’m Lindsay and I am The Painted Shell Co.!

I started painting single Oyster Shells as a kind of therapy. I have two boys, 3 and 5, one step-daughter, 12 and a 15 year old Yorkie named Dusty. I am a preschool teacher to some pretty amazing 2 year olds and I also manage, part time, (part time…is that even really a thing anymore?) a tele-health practice from home, and, as you can imagine, it gets a little hectic at times. Painting shells helped me to find myself again, it allowed me to have my quiet alone time doing something that I love, then it slowly evolved into something bigger.

I seek out the perfect combination of shells which are all from Eastern North Carolina, and I clean, paint and arrange them in the many designs I have available. I put a lot of love into each design and item I make. Thank you for allowing me to share my work with you! I hope you enjoy them!
